Pictures worth a thousand metric tons

If a picture is worth more than a thousand words, then these videos focusing on global warming and energy conservation should hit their mark in this era of YouTube, viral marketing, and multimedia messaging. But are they effective at changing individual behavior? You be the judge:

The Most Terrifying Video You’ll Ever See” is a homemade (and wildly popular) explanation of the risk assessment involved in addressing global warming:

From California:
Flex Your Power is a statewide social marketing campaign aimed at changing individual behavior. Ads are also run in Spanish on Univision. Here are three TV ads, all worth a look:
Flex Your Power 1
Flex Your Power 2
Flex Your Power 4

From Australia came one of the first engaging video pieces to create a visual depiction of the carbon emissions related to everyday life.

From the national environmental group Environmental Defense, two visually intense global warming ads:
Train, and Tick

And for some humor:

From the Blue Man Group (and produced by Inconvenient Truth producer Laurie David) on Earth to America!

and Will Ferrell as the leader of the free world on global warming.

Enjoy.
